You know why you're getting the sudden influxes, please don't make the same mistakes.

The other sites have come to regret it, and there's always someone else around the corner willing to embrace the leavers.

I come from one of those sites. Long story short, the site admins first made a rule against having the bot's main picture be NSFW. The admins swore that would be the ONLY change (but also neglected to say what qualifies as NSFW, so the creators had to test themselves and make unoficial guides). Then, we couldn't have NSFW in bot description, either. They swore it would be temporary. Now, we can't have pictures NSFW or not at all anywhere on the site (except the bot's main picture). They admitted it was permanent, but also swear that the chats themselves will always be NSFW. We're no exactly trusting those promises anymore, so, influx here.

The site (janitor ai) is boiling the crab (us) to align with investors and payment processors.

Any numbers on the influx? I'd have to assume most people migrating are not paying users and the costs must be high.

Have you considered using web llm with a gemma-3 ~4b merge to allow free users to run models locally without setup?

gemma 3 4b runs at a few tps on my phone with decent output quality. (llama.cpp with unsloth's gguf, not web-llm)

I'd assume it could work well on a laptop.

hello, some feedback, unrelated to this blog post:

1. there should be an easy obvious way to give feedback within the app.

2. a queue is fine, I don't mind waiting to send my message, but it's not fine if I type my message, hit send, then loose the contents of my sent message because of the queue.

I'd also prefer if there was a constant countdown, that shows how long I need to wait to send the message, or a buffer, that holds my sent message until that time is up.

good luck with wyvern, the competition is tough, and it will force innovation or extinction.

oh, and thanks for the community updates, they're the first thing I check when deciding where to use my wallet.
